Re: Lotus Natural Kajal

Hi Everyone,
I have been using lotus "natural" kajal daily for a year and a half, and I recently stopped using it because I found out that a lot of commercially available kajal in India often have excessive amounts of heavy metals in them.  And low and behold the eye trouble that I have been having, for the past year suddenly went away.  I bought this stuff in India when I was there and in the past year I have had dully heavy eyes and even had to get glasses for the first time-- it was as if I lost the ability to focus my eyes on close up things--- but it happened so slowly and gradually that I never thought the kajal could be causing it.  Since I stopped using the kajal I no longer need to wear the glasses and I no longer feel exhausted in my head all the time.  I would seriously avoid this product..

I just had a lead poisoning test to see if there is lead in my blood but it came back negative.  But apparently there could be a lot of mercury or arsenic in it too, though of course, they don't list these as  ingredients.
